Haydn Nelson Mass

J S Bach Music from the Cantatas for Passiontide and Easter

Sacred Splendour: Haydn & Bach
Join us for an evening of monumental music featuring two giants of the Baroque and Classical eras.
Haydn Nelson Mass (Missa in angustiis): Composed during a time of international crisis and named after the legendary Admiral Nelson, this “Mass in Times of Distress” is one of Haydn’s most dramatic and powerful works. From the stormy D minor Kyrie to the triumphant Dona Nobis Pacem, it offers a visceral blend of devotion and triumph.
JS Bach Passiontide Music: A selection of J.S. Bach’s moving Passiontide works. Taken from his cantatas, they offer a contemplative journey through the Lenten season and express universal human emotions of sorrow, compassion, and hope.
